The Story of South Central Oil
In Business Since 1950
South Central Oil Company was started in 1950 when James B. Garrison bought out his partners from Garrison-Dennis Oil. Since then, SCOC has grown its home heating oil business, petroleum jobber ship, and commercial real estate business across a five county footprint in the South Central region of North Carolina. The main office at 2121 W. Main Street employees 22 people in Stanly County. The convenience stores that SCOC supports, are all owned and operated by independent small family businesses. Each convenience store employs many wonderful folks who work hard to serve their customers needs.
Commercial Real Estate
In the 1980s, SCOC began developing and managing commercial real estate. Food Lion’s 30th store was built by SCOC as part of Eastgate Shopping Center in Albemarle. Office, retail and light industrial properties are managed and leased by our South Central Properties division. SCOC also owns three self storage facilities in Concord and Monroe, which operate under the name All About Storage. Professional Propane
The most recent and exciting change to South Central Oil Company is the addition of Professional Propane. Now the company is able to help customers with residential and commercial propane supply, as well as service on any gas appliance (furnace, heaters, water heaters, gas logs…etc.)
